Miracle eyebrow serum?

Last year I won a trial sample of some serum that claims to help thinning eyebrows regrow.  The product is called Rapid Brow, I had seen it in my local Boots for a very hefty price tag of £37.00.

The reason it attracted me was that my brows have been thinning for around three years since I started with my gastro issues.  The doctors have not really been able to give me any useful feedback regarding why it's happening nor do they seem to understand the psychological aspect this has on a woman especially as my head hair has been the same.

The product has won a lot of awards and has received amazing reviews in various magazines I have read, however customer reviews appeared to be completely one or the other.  People either give it 5 stars seeing outstanding results or 1 star and calling it things like useless.

The serum comes in a small cardboard box, it gives the statistics on the front that in just 60 days I could see up to 108% thicker lashes.

Inside the box is a small purple tube which is sealed in some clear plastic wrap.  Once this is removed the serum resembles a normal mascara tube.

You simply twist open like a mascara tube to reveal a wand. This is covered by a clear gel, this is the serum!

TO USE!

The serum is to be used twice a day, you simply remove the wand from the base then sweep it across the eyebrow.  The wand combs the brow and works well at evenly distributing the serum onto the lashes.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE!

Other than the fact my brows were thinning years of short narrow brows being the fashion had led to something many of us women have experienced, no re growth at all in the areas of over plucking!  My largest problem is that my brows are now shorter than they should be!

After a week of using the serum something exciting happened, I noticed a few stray hairs at the outer edges of my brow, I was over the moon.  Sadly my trial only lasted a few weeks so I did not see much more progress.

After getting some credit on Zeek thanks to some people signing up with my promo code (see post if your interested) I decided to splash out and treat myself to an Amazon voucher and purchase a new full sizes Rapid Brow.

I adore Zeek, the vouchers are discounted so your money goes further.  I  had £5 worth of promo credit and there was 4% discount.  In other words the face value of the voucher was £45, Zeeks  cost was £43, with my £5 promo credit deducted I only paid £38 for it.

On top of this the product is only £29 at the moment on Amazon so I basically paid £22 for it as my excess credit stayed on my Amazon account for future spends! Thanks Zeek!

WEEK 1!

I am going to update this as I use my product so anything that happens is fresh in my mind!

The little bit of previous growth is still there, nothing joined it after my sample ran out but at least I retained what I had grown.  Nothing much visible happening this week yet, however the gel does help moisturise the brows and holds them in position during the day.

I have had no side effects of any sort from using it.

As you can see the ends of the brow are a only a few lashes thick, sorry about the stray untidy brows.  Because I have been growing them I have not been over tidying the base either as I want to try and encourage the full brows thicker.  I am hoping the gap between the top ones and the lower stray lashes gets some growth in the next few weeks so the curve is thicker.

On this side you can see the thinning at the front of the brow worse, this is not plucked!  I have done no plucking in over 3 months on either brow.

I am happy with the few stray hairs that have started appearing!

Covet Me - Update on payment issues!

Covet Me - Update on payment issues.

I have been waiting for almost two months now for my Covet Me vouchers, I have stopped sharing at the moment because I am worried about sharing lot of links with friends when there is such a backlog.

The company is very snowed under, I have not seen a reply on their facebook page since May, I see this as a shame because it has some of us questioning about the validity of the company.  It would not take much to simply post an update to keep people updated.

I understand that this company is a start up company but there are so many easily sorted methods they could have that would stop the barrage of emails they are getting off people.

They could sort out an email system that lets people know as they move through the system, people getting updates are less likely to be asking questions even when things are late.

A system on the dashboard that let people know as they moved through the system, similar to the emails.

So what have I seen happening?

I have seen one friend told they have been flagged and asked how they were sharing their covets, I find this an odd question because you share them with the social media buttons.

I personally have had news that I have stepped forward in the system, I spent a month waiting to pass security checks, however their latest email said I am now in the next batch awaiting payment, which is good news.

The question is how long is the wait?  I have seen other people on twitter say they have been waiting in this line of the system for a long time also.

Today I saw an odd post someone shared saying that the company have a problem with dispatching vouchers, what I do not understand is why not just post this on facebook and share?  Most of us are understanding but its the not knowing that causes the distrust.

We do not want to, I still like this app, and love the idea of it.  I sincerely hope that they manage to get it up and running soon!

I will let you know when I hear anymore re my vouchers!

WE HAVE HEDGEHOGS!

We have Hedgehogs!

Last year I thought Mum was a little strange asking for a hedgehog house for her Birthday, I had never heard of them and it sounded a really odd gift to want.  However it was bought for her and placed hidden at the bottom of our garden.

I anyone as puzzled as I was when she asked for one, it's not a house for us to keep pet Hedgehogs in, it's a house you buy that you put in a quite safe area of your garden and leave it there for Hedgehogs to make their homes, a bit like a bird box.

Anyway last night I was in the garden watering a few pots when I heard some very light foot steps on the pebbles we have around the pond.  Only a few foot steps away from me was a fairly large hedgehog, it looked at me then walked to the pond for a drink.

I was gobsmacked, it paid me so little attention, then it came out and started to eat the bread I had thrown out for the birds (yes I know bad for them so I will not do again now I know we have them).

I watched for a minute not daring to move but then got on watering, it paid me no attention as I walked around it finishing the couple of pots then I turned around and noticed there was a second one sat right outside the hedgehog house.  Also a large size, we appear to be housing large Hedgehogs lol.

The second was perfectly aware I was there but also appeared to not be bothered, it also popped to eat some of the bread then plodded back into the back of the garden where the house is.  Its so exciting! It's so nice knowing that something is making its home somewhere that you provided, oddly even though they are wild I immediately feel some sort of protective feelings towards them.  It's like they have joined our extended family!

Hoping to put something more suitable out for them tonight, I will have a google and put the bread up a height that I have left.  Hopefully might get some photographs another night, do not want to worry them even though they appeared to not be bothered by me but will see if I can get some :-)

Does anyone else have a Hedgehog house?  Do you feed them?

Once I have the photos I will add them to this blog.

Labelling!

Why do we label people and things in life?  What is it in the human psyche that makes us want to always label so that we can group or categorize people?

What brought on this random question?  I face labels on a daily basis, being ill health is the label I prefer to use myself, by the legal definition of the courts I am disabled but I do not claim DLA.  What does that matter you might ask!  Well some companies and many people have decided that the disabled label is only for people claiming DLA benefit, it's a bone of contention with me in some ways because by the legal definition I am disabled but for many companies I can not claim a disabled discount because I decided not to battle the legal system for the benefit.

At the moment I pretty much daily see unemployed bashing going on in the press or on social media, another label used to degrade people!  I get so upset seeing it, lazy, scrounging are more labels I see put on unemployed.

So why does it upset me?  should I be upset?  I have actually had this discussion a few times with people who I have pulled up calling all unemployed lazy scroungers.  I say to them that I find it offensive because I did not choose to be in this situation, I worked all my life after college, I had an accident that left me ill, I lost my job, health, home all because of it and I am now on Ill health benefits.  I am unemployed, I can't work but I am working with my health care people to try and get better to work and I want to with all my heart get back to work even if its only part time.

When I normally explain my situation people say oh we did not mean people like you we meant the others!  But most of the others also have their own stories that we do not know!  This is my point we are not a label!  We are all humans, individuals!

Today I logged online to see a new version of downgrading labelling, I saw some bloggers having a go at some compers, now at this point you might be asking what the heck is a comper or a blogger lol.  A comper is someone who has a hobby of entering competitions, a blogger is someone who runs and writes their own blog.

Just recently there has been a lot of hostility between compers and bloggers, some bloggers have taken to banning anyone they feel is a comper from their comps.  I am told there had been a lot of problems with compers entering, I can not comment on this because I have not been involved in any and while I can understand their frustration, it's yet again a use of labelling to judge a full group of people based on a few peoples actions.

Today I also saw a new label appear, one for something they are calling a comper/blogger, used in a very derogative way.  On first glance it does not look like a derogative label but the self labelled bloggers have decided that any comper whom runs a blog is doing so for purely selfish gain.  They have decided that they are doing it to win more prizes.

This irritates me because everyone has their own reasons to write, why did each blogger start writing?  What makes their starting block or reason to start their blog good but someone who was a comper first selfish?  What about the compers that started their blogs 2 years ago, 10 years ago?  what is the time restraint on this label?

This is not my first blog, I have had blogs and websites for many years, I started writing in 2007, I have coded and made websites from scratch, I have been a webmaster, I ran a website for a band, helped on a forum for a singer, I have blogged, I have comped.  So what am I?  What label do I fall under?

Is it ok for me to have this blog, I mean I only started it recently, I am a comper!  So am I am comper/blogger?  or does the fact that I have been a webmaster longer override this?  Is a webmaster better than a blogger?  Or is it all ridiculous?

The answer from me is that we need to stop labels!  They are hurtful, no group of people fit into a same mould!  Everyone has their own stories, some good some bad but we are all individuals!

If you find yourself labelling think about it in the future and how it can affect people being labelled!

July's Magazine Freebies - Instyle - Nails Inc Polish

INSTYLE MAGAZINE - FREE NAILS INC POLISH!

I don't know about the rest of you beauty and fashion fans but I adore when my fave fashion mags have lots of fab freebies attached.  It's amazing having the added bonus of trial sized goodies to play with as well as the mag to read - a mini birthday lol.

I went to the supermarket today and actually ended up buying a couple of magazines I only read now and again because there was so many fab goodie on offer, I could not resist!

My first freebie today was attached to my Instyle magazine, it's a Nails Inc polish.  I adore Nails Inc, after OPI they are my favourite polishes so I always jump when I see these.  There was a strange mix of colours to choose from, two very similar grey/purple colours, a pink and a bright red.

I actually wanted the pink but there was only the grey/purple one or the red in out local store so I chose the grey purple - although when I am in town tomorrow I have to admit I will be looking for the pink!

The polish looks a little dark in the bottle but once out it's a nice pale grey with a purple tint, perfect for summer.

I like that they have still made the polishes feel special presenting them in the box rather than loose, I also like that they have printed the fact the polish came free with Instyle.  The reason for this is several times I have seen people selling their polishes on that came free with mags online for more than the magazines were and though it was rude.

The polish looks like a normal Nails Inc polish aside the print, although they are a little special because these four colours are only available with the magazine.  Gutting if you fall in love with one of them as you will not be able to replace it, but does make them even more special.

The polish as is usual with Nails Inc is a little thin, I prefer the consistency of OPI as a rule but I do find Nails Inc polish consistency good for summer.  With it being thinner I can layer it less for a very thin coating and pale colour or more layers for a deeper stronger colour and coating.

I really like this colour on, this was two coats as one was a little thin.  Loving my bargain £3.99 for my mag and my polish <3 time to read now!

TODAY'S FREEBIE - GLENLIVET WHISKY!

TODAY'S FREEBIE - GLENLIVET WHISKY!

I have had another fab freebie in the mail today, a cute little bottle of Whisky for fathers day.

The Whisky came with a really cute card saying Happy Father's Day and information about the product.

I love finding freebies, there are so many available through the internet, this bottle was sent to me via Facebook, an app called called sopost.  I have only recently seen this one around so do not know much about it, however if you see a post around by one of your friends gifting something from a company called sopost simply click on the link and you should have the chance to send some to friends.  Either be cheeky and ask one of them to gift you one back, or hope someone has the kindness to do so automatically and bingo you will snare yourself a nice freebie.

Hidden even from myself?

HIDDEN EVEN FROM MYSELF?

I wanted to write something a little personal today, I like to try and be as positive as I can about my limitations due to my health issues but sometimes when things are too bad and I have been housebound for too long, been in too much pain, feel extra sick or just too tired, I can get a little tearful.  The odd thing is though when I am in these lower times I find myself thinking a lot more about things!

I have to admit one of the things that sucks the most about having hidden illnesses is just that, they are hidden!  To everyone I look normal, that might not sound like a bad thing, I mean it's good to look well isn't it?  There is nothing worse then when you are ill and you look as ill as you feel!

I always thought that until I got ill and found myself being judged forever on my looks, even the most well meaning people always sound so shocked and I have lost track of the number of times someone said to me "but you look alright!" I have got to the point my initial response is but you can't see pain unless I show it can you!  And tbh most of us living in pain don't remember what it was like to not be in pain, so we don't show the pain as much because we already know its coming and are braced for it.

The oddest thing for me often is when I look at photographs of days that I know I was in so much pain the moment I was in private I was in tears, when I excused myself for the 5th trip to the toilet it was to take more pain killers, shed a few tears then pull myself as back together fast as I could and get back out there.  There are photos that I know I was so close to collapsing, yet when I look at them I see someone else, the old me still showing on the outside, the person who was so fast to smile, the person with very few cares in the world.  So which is the real me? The inside or the outside?  Will they ever become one again or am I better with the inner me being hidden because at least I look well!

I guess if I looked awful as I feel then I would not want my photo even taken eh lol but I so feel betrayed by the images in front of me because they do not feel like me anymore!

I wonder if anyone can understand my ramblings?  Maybe someone will come across this one day who knows exactly where I am coming from lol.  For now though my odd thoughts stay with me!

Personalised Gifts - Photobox

PHOTOBOX - GORGEOUS PERSONALISED PHOTO PRODUCTS!

I adore photographs, for me they are something that help with memories of my life!  Because of this items that are personalised with photos are something I adore.  For many years now I have used a company called Photobox to buy personalised items, I have tried many others but always returned to Photobox, they not only for me have the best range but they are amazing quality.

One of the things I adore about Photobox is that they store my photos that I upload over the years and keep them, my first items were created around 6 years ago now and the photos and in fact the creations are still available to view and use for future creations.

For my Birthday this year my sister gave me a voucher to order what I wanted from them, I decided to get a Diary and  new Iphone 6 Case.

You basically choose the product you like, they have suggested layouts which you can use or edit and then you drag photos onto where you would like them and save the product.  You can store them for future purchase or save the and come back to them if they are a longer product to create such as a diary.

Here are my finished Products - over the moon with them :-)

This is the phone case I ordered, lots of silly pics but ones that make me smile :-)

This is the photo diary I chose, I love being able to add photos, it's lovely to flick through and have memories to look at as I use it. This is the front of the diary.  Another thing I love about the diary is the elastic, it makes sure the diary stays firmly closed when in my handbag so it never gets torn or damaged.  The cover on the front and back are also protected by a clear plastic frosty white cover.

An example of one of the pages, you can place a photo on the right page so one photo a week.

Another example of a different week, one of the things I like about it only being one photo a week is that there does not need to be a continuity or for the photos to match.  Anything goes so you can jump between family shots to pets etc without it looking strange.

The last thing I love about the photo diaries is the little clear plastic week ruler they give you, you pop it out and move it as you move through the diary, this means you can easily find the week you are on.  It is really easy to use the plastic simply bends and snaps into the spiral centre.

Oh there is one final thing I forgot to mention about the diaries that I really adore, you can start them at any given date, so if like me you decide to purchase one this week you can start it now.

I had a nice surprise from them in my inbox today, 30% off my next purchase because I bought the first too - thankfully I had expected this and pre made a calendar when I made the diary.  This means I can now go and purchase that and apply the 30% off :-) Thanks Photobox!  One happy customer :-)

Covet Me - Share your fashion style and earn shopping vouchers in return!

A few months back a friend introduced me to an amazing new site on the scene for any fashion/clothing lovers who like to search out new items or share great outfits they have put together on social media.  In return the company awards you points which can be converted into more wonderful fashion items for us to re share.

As someone who loves her fashion and beauty I have loved getting to know this site and thought I would share my experiences so far!

COVET ME - REGISTERING

Go to https://www.covet.me and you should see the main home page.  This has information about the main company, what they do, their owners and contact information.

Click on the link that says Sign up/Log in.

This will take you to the very easy sign up page, you can either use your email address and register by entering this and choosing a password.  You can also register with either facebook or your google account by clicking on the relevant links.

Once you have logged in you will be taken to your home page, this has a menu of links at the top of the page, a total of your points in the right corner and the main box that you use to create your covets in the middle of the page.  You are now registered and logged in if you see a page like this.

CREATING YOUR FIRST COVET - USING A URL!

There are three ways to create covets, the first is to create one using the URL of an item that you find when shopping.  Simply click on the URL bar when on the page to the item that you have found and would like to covet, highlight it and copy it to your clipboard.

On the covet site scroll to the bar and click on the word URL the box should look like this when you click on URL.

Paste your url and click on the green Go button. Covet should find your item and show an image of it in the centre of the page.  This is an example of a straw hat that I liked.

Under the image Covet creates a box for you, next you need to click into the box and add any suitable hash tags that you feel someone searching for this product might look for to help them see it.

Once you have typed a few suitable ones you are ready to create the covet ready to share on social media.  A word of caution if you share to twitter remember you only have so many characters so do not go overboard with the hash tags.

This is what a created covet will look like, a copy of the item, a description of it, hash tags and then the links to share the covet.  I will go into how each of the icons work a little more in depth later on in the review but to use them simply click on the circle for the social media account you want to share the covet on, if you are logged in you will be asked to allow Covet to access your account, allow this then you will be able to simply share using the pop up.  If not you will be prompted to log into the correct account and then will be given a pop up containing your covet to share.

CREATING A COVET  - YOUR OWN ITEM!

I am yet to actually use this function but I will do one and follow up for you!

CREATING A COVET - SEARCHING THEIR DATABASE!

The function I like the most on Covet is their search facility to find items, I love that I can type in a description of a product I am interested in and it brings up items from many shops that they feel are relevant to my search criteria.  Certainly sometimes the products are not exactly what I am looking for but I have seen so many wonderful ideas for me and gifts!

To search, first click on the word search next to the search box in the middle of the page, then enter a keyword that you are looking for.  In this example I wanted to look for ideas of poodle related items as I am looking for a poodle related gift for a family member.

When you click go you will be presented with a page of suggestions along with prices and images of the products.  This is what I was given to choose from with my search word poodle.

When you have chosen the product you would like to covet, simply click on the image and the covet will be created for you.

Click into the box and add any hash tags that you feel are suitable for the product to share them with a wider audience, then click done.

You will now see a screen similar to above that has a link to the covet along with links to social media to share your covet.  To share simply click on the relevant social media link and if you are logged into the account you will be presented with a pop up similar to this asking you to share.

Simply click share and your covet will be shared with your friends.  If you are not logged in you will be prompted to log in and then follow the same steps.

You can share the covet with each of the social media and also copy the link provided and share on your blog etc.

HOW YOU EARN POINTS!

For each covet you create and share you will receive points, then when people click on your covets you also get more points.  I am not sure what the points ratio is but I tend to get around 7 points for sharing a covet before I get clicks on one.

To see how many points you have on a covet, simply scroll down the homepage and you will see images of the items you shared.  This section is called "popular covets" if you hover over a covet image, it will change from an image to showing a figure, this is the number of points that particular covet has made.  From that screen you can also see the social media links and use them to re share your covets.

EARN FOR REFERRING FRIENDS!

If you have a friend who likes their fashion then you may want to refer them, Covet are giving 150 points for every friend that you sign up.    To do this click on the wording in the top left hand side of the home page that says "invite a friend = 150 points" this will take you to a screen asking for their email address.  Simply fill in the boxes and your friend will be sent an email invite to join.  If they join and use the site you will receive 150 points.  Please do not abuse this system, some nasty people have been making up fake referrals to gain points.  This is holding up the poor staff at Covet as they work to weed out the cheaters!  So sad to see!

HOW TO SPEND POINTS!

At the top of the home page you should see your points clearly shown in the top right corner of the screen.  Once you have enough of these to redeem for a voucher you can do so by clicking on the link in the menu that says "see all rewards".  Once in the rewards page you will see a selection of vouchers and their value, simply choose the one you wish to purchase and click on it.

As you can see I do not have enough points for a voucher at present so I can not show you how the next screens look but once you click on the voucher you wish to swap your points for you get a pop up asking if you wish to exchange for the voucher and then the points will be deducted from your total.  You will get an email confirming you have requested a voucher, but not what voucher which is the first part I think they need to look at.  While I have yet to see anyone complain they have not had the right voucher, it certainly seems to be somewhere problems may arise in the future.

HOW LONG DO YOU WAIT FOR VOUCHERS?

The email tells you to expect your voucher in around 7 days, however there is a huge backlog at the moment and people are waiting at least 2 months for vouchers.

MY THOUGHTS ON COVET!

I really like the idea of the app, although I am yet to take a photo of me in an outfit, I will be trying it in the future.  I think once the app is a little more established I will use that function more.

I adore the search function, I have found several items that I would like to own and one I have since bought.  I have also used it to search a few times for gift ideas and it has brought up some good ideas.  Will certainly find it handy at Christmas!

I have felt a little uncomfortable with the lack of transparency of the rules and the fact that the point system has changed.  I am giving them lea way due to the fact it is a fairly new company and they are simply trying to get things running smoothly.   However I would like to see a clear set of guides as to what function is worth what and a better clarification of what they define as a quality Covet.  I have seen so many posts on blogs and social media about what people are deciding themselves what makes a popular covet.

I have slowed down on my using of the site recently after seeing some people claiming they have been banned for no reason, although I have a feeling these claims are un true.  These along with the fact I have not received a voucher yet I am only sharing the occasional one.  It's not that I do not trust Covet as such, the problem is as I share them friends keep asking what they are, I was happy to tell them about the company before but now I feel guilty for the friends I suggested the site too and responsible for the fact their vouchers are delayed. Once they have cleared their backlog I will feel much more comfortable sharing the covets more often again.

I am going to leave judging the site any further until they have had a chance to clear their backlog, it is unfair to judge a start up company so I will follow backup when I receive vouchers or there are any further changes to the site.

CONTACTING COVET!

If you need to contact Covet, they do have a facebook page, twitter and email address, however I have found that the best place to contact is to tweet their twitter help page with is @covetme_help While they do take a long time to get back to you, they are responding and trying to let you know where you are in the backlog.

Ultimate Blends - The Strength Restorer Freebie

I had a good day with the mail today!  My Ultimate Blends Strength Restorer trial arrived, it contains a sample shampoo, conditioner and serum.

The product claims that is will strengthen my hair by up to 6x and help protect against split ends.  I am interested to try this product, I have recently had a full size trail of their nourishing repairer range which I had split results using.

I found the shampoo was average, it had a really nice lather but did not really make my hair feel like it was clean, there as an odd coating after using it.

The conditioner was awful, I tried it on several occasions and had the same outcome each time, rather than being soft and conditioned, my hair was like straw!

Rather than a serum with my previous trial I had a 1 minute intensive conditioner, that in total contradiction to the normal conditioner was amazing.  My hair is lovely and conditioned when I use it, so much so I have now purchased a further intensive conditioner.

What do I expect from the second variety trial, I have to be honest I am still hopeful that it will be as good as the intensive conditioner and that the other product just was not right for my hair type.

I will post the results once I have used my trail!  Fingers crossed!

Fun Friends 3

Final day = Sad Tor!

My friends final day of the visit was yesterday, we went into town before she left for some lunch, we ended up in All Bar One.  I had the fish finger wrap and my friend the halloumi wrap, both were delicious!

I spotted the most stunning bracelet on the way past Pia and simply had to buy it!

I loved the engraving, it reads "well behaved women rarely make history"!  makes me giggle, it's so true! The bracelet is brass with silver plaques with the engraving on, a gold coloured star in the middle and two smaller ones on the back either side of the bangle.

I adore Pia, such unique items!

Said goodbye to my friend at the station at 6 only to discover the local Races were on and there was not a taxi to be found - huge oopsy lol!

Missing my friend already!  Had a wonderful few days but only 4 weeks until Blackpool and Cats :-)

Fun Friends 2

On Thursday we decided to spend the day in the local Village, we went to a lovely cafe called No 50.  The food was gorgeous, home made leek, gruyere cheese and spinach quiche, this was served with some crisps, a cute side salad which was presented in a little bowl and some coleslaw.  The pastry was really crispy and the quiche really fluffy and light.  I really liked that they served all the sides in little bowls so nothing was mixed in that you did not want mixed.

Next we popped into the post office and collected my letter that had gone astray - woohoo!

This collected we headed to the local playing field and sat in the sun for a bit before heading home!

Had a lovely day, I was over the moon I managed to eat a full lunch out and was so lovely just to spend some time relaxing with my friend :-)

Once home we hit the internet to see if we could arrange for my mate to join me at Cats the Musical in Blackpool!  Found a really good deal on a bed and breakfast and trains not far from my bed and breakfast or the theatre!  Score we get to see the wonderfully talented Clare Rickard as Jellylorum again together and so excited to see the amazing Danielle Cato debut as Cassandra along with the rest of the new cast!

Thought we would send Clare the good news that we were booked and attempted to send her a photo message, this was the outcome!

We take a great photo don't we! lol :-)

So excited we are getting to go together, it's going to be an amazing night out! :-)

Fun Friends 1

Its been an odd few days for me!  One of my best friends came up for a visit, I do not often get visitors so it's been really lovely!

On Tuesday shortly after she arrived my tortoise hurt his foot and we had to take him to the vets, not exactly the evening I had planned but still Thea appears to have made the most of it the minute I turned my back!  lol

On Wednesday I had an appointment so we popped into town for lunch after and a spot of shopping, bought lots for Fathers day :-)

We stopped for a Yorkshire pudding with Roast Potatoes, its the first time since my stomach issues started again in March that I attempted Roast's so I was really pleased to see them go down!

We sat in the museum gardens for a short while in the sun, found the cutest tent for my mate to go camping with and had a lovely day just enjoying the weather and fab company!

On the way home we stopped off at the Royal Mail sorting office to find out where my missing parcel was.  When the lady returned she had a parcel but it was an entirely different one to the one I had the card for :-/

Where oh where has my parcel gone?  It took them 15 minutes to come back and inform me that they thought my mail had accidentally been sent to my local village post office!  It appears the mail man just delivers mail where he feels like these days!

1 letter at the sorting office with no card through my door and one meant to go to the office sent to the local post office!  Well done Royal Mail! 0 correct out of 2!

Swagbucks 1 - Earn Amazon, Marks and Spencer Vouchers etc

WHAT IS SWAGBUCKS?

Swagbucks is a website that you can use to earn vouchers for doing a very wide variety of tasks from watching videos, playing games, completing offers to answering surveys.

REGISTERING!

Swagbucks is very easy to register with and completely free, to register simply visit www.swagbucks.com, then you can register by either logging in with an existing Facebook account or using your email and creating a password.  Swagbucks does not send any spam to your email account so your normal email address will be suitable.

WAYS TO EARN - DAILY POLL

There are many different ways to earn on Swagbucks, the first that I do on a daily basis is to answer the daily poll.  Each day there is poll placed up on Swagbucks for you to answer, this will give you a single point, which in Swagbucks is called a Swagbuck!

The easiest way to access the poll is to click on the to do list on the far left of the screen.

Click on the words daily poll and you will be taken to another screen that contains a new question, all you need to do is decide on your answer, click in the tick box and click vote. This will give you your first Swagbuck for the day!

EARNING - NOSO!

Next click on the Swagbucks icon in the top left hand corner of the page, this will take you back to the homepage.  When you arrive back on the home page the to do list should now have a tick in to say that you have completed the poll and look like this!

Click on the NOSO link to be taken to the next offer page, to complete this offer you simply need to click through the screens that look like this by clicking on the green submit and continue to the next offer button until you have got through all the offers for that day.

Once you get to the end of them you will reach a screen that asks you enter a code.  The screen will look like this.  Once you do this you will get 2 Swagbucks added to your account.

To check that you have completed this correctly you need to again click on the Swagbucks icon in the top left hand corner of the screen.  This will take you to the home page and now there should be two ticks in the to do list.

Looking at the list you will see there there is also one called swagbutton, this involves downloading something to your tool bar that I was not willing to do so I am unable to comment on this process.

EARNING - GAMES!

You can earn up to 10 swagbucks a day from playing games, there are not many games on Swagbucks at the moment, in fact the only one I can get to work is Swagasaurus Run.

To play games simply click on the menu at the top that says games from any page.  You will be taken to the games home page that should look like this.

To play simply click the blue play button in the centre of the screen and follow the on screen instructions.  Make sure you play for around 40 seconds and you should receive 2 SB after playing your second round of the game.
